so... joined skype tonight. so cool! and i had my very first convo with annemarie!

and... here are some pics of her! im sure she has some LOVELY ones of me... not really... haha, im a mess right now.

kelly and i made invitations and they are soooo cute! we used twenty four book pages and a few scraps of pretty paper... and that is about it :) i cant wait to hand them out!
so i got an iced coffee {my new obsession} and i put this vanilla powdery stuff they had out.. and i kept tasting it and adding more because the vanilla didnt seem to be doing anything... and that is because it was all falling to the bottom of my drink.. :) haha...

yes, we made quite a large mess... :)

but, they are all done, and ready for delivery!

honestly now...

okay, so for the past couple weeks i have daily received numerous letters from colleges. nothing important about them, just a fancy little envelope with a "personalized" letter inside with a website and a cute slogan about why i should waste four years of my life at whichever school... i actually have a substantial collection now... i think im up to 32... i wonder when they will stop...

my life is in a high point right now. everything is happy and lovely, and i cant complain about anything... i mean, yes. there are bumps in the road, but i am hitting them with optimism, joy, and patience, which makes the ride so much more bearable.

i know some of you out there are on a tough part of your road right now, but hold on and keep driving. the horizon is ahead, and it is calling you.

four months later.

today i finally hung my little white shelf up. it has been sitting in a box in my closet for about four months, but now, it graces my bedroom wall and holds a few books and my two favorite scarves.

february retreat.

retreat! wow, we had a lovely little weekend adventure! very fast-paced, going from one thing straight to the next all weekend. oh my. :) i was cold the entire weekend, but that didnt stop me from having the time of my life. here are some pictures!

focus. that is really hard to do right now... im presently packing for the retreat this weekend, and my mind is going way too fast for me to keep track of how many shirts i put in my bag already, or whether or not i packed socks... which is why i made lists ahead of time :) oh my... this is what my bed looks like right now.

a community project.

winter retreat is coming up this weekend, and last time, lindsay had this great idea of having a group journal, that any girls in our cabin could just pick up and write/doodle in... last time that never really happened, but this time, i took the initiative, and sewed up a little thirty-two page notebook for my boxcar to transform this weekend! and, to add a visual element, i found pretty pictures from here and some other places, printed them out, and am gonna bring them along, so we can use them too...

so ladies, what do you think? good idea?

i have an addiction. i am hooked on snow cream... really. which is not a good thing, because all it is is sugar and more sugar and some snow. in other words, i have a really bad tummy ache right now :/
